Capoeira Culture

I’m walking through Parque do Ibirapuera in São Paolo, when I hear the rumble and tumble… and naturally being the curious human being that I am, I follow the sounds.

That’s when I come across the circle of capoeira schools. They take turns circling one another, dancing, singing, playing instruments, and of course practicing capoeira. I lose all track of time watching them. This amalgamation of arms and legs… and cultural language that is going on from one person to another, only to be picked up by another.
